steam challenge

The tallest newspaper tower!!!

Last Tuesday Te Ngahere did a steam challenge. We  had to make the tallest tower out of two sheets of newspaper and 30 cm of tape. We did this in our learning groups. Everyone had different towers and different designs. We made two towers per group and had half an hour to do each one. My groups first tower failed because our tower didn’t have enough balance. Our second one worked because we had a bigger base and it was more stable. Our tower was 1 meter and 27 centimeters tall. In my group was me, Dale and Akira. Have you ever done this challenge before? 

Turbo Touch

Last Friday te Ngahere played a game called turbo touch.  We had to get into groups of three to five. When we got into our groups the teacher picked two groups to play each other.  In my group was me, Pharell, Ondreous, Tahuri and Thea. The rules of turbo touch are to get into groups of three to five you will also need a rugby ball. When you’ve done that you tap and pass the ball to your teammate then your teammate runs to the try line but they can only hold the ball for two seconds or if someone touches you with two hands. You can pass forward backwards and sideways. If you get a trie your team wins.  I think my team has to work on  passing, catching and defence other than that i think we did a good job. We were really good at making strategies. Have you ever played turbo touch?
